Nothin’ like a little midweek Shakespeare. Two houses, both alike in dignity. Very clever concept and set design. All around solid performances. The Nurse was a standout for me. Juliet was also amazing.

At the end of a {somewhat bleak?} week, this was a good reminder that “you’d do the same.”

Like so much of life, the out-of-my-control low points are kept in balance by my intentional efforts to gather with those whose hearts hold

The textures, the layers. Narration, group storytelling, getting inside the head, heart, and body of a character. Butcher-paper, markers, chalk + paint as willing participants in the on-stage action. Live music. Interpretive dance, movement. Clearly

This was last Saturday’s show of choice. All the performers were great in their roles. We were both especially impressed with @notwildlin as AJ. The nuanced maturity and acceptance of that character inspired me. I wanna love like that.
